Bonus: Kami Bleach Talks Music, Sausse Boy Records, and Future Plans.

Nkazimulo Nelisa Dlamini, known affectionately as KamixxBleach is a producer, rapper, and CEO of Sausse Boy Records. Kami hails from Pietermaritzburg, currently residing in Johannesburg, Auckland Park. His name is the byproduct of Japanese culture with a keen adoration for anime.

Kami is the Japanese translation for God synonymous with Dragon Ball Z, and Bleach is an anime series, both of these alternate universes came together to form a character who slices 808s and maintains the ground shaking culture that is a common feature in the fight scenes of popular anime.

Kami cites Kanye West as his inspiration that drove him to study sound engineering at the Academy of Sound Engineering in Aukland Park, Johannesburg. This was a strategic move to complement the YouTube tutorials that had taught him the basic production skills that he built upon later in a territory institution. Kami’s range of production is centered on his admiration for all elements of hip-hop, be it trap, boom-bap or R&B. In the near future, he would love to try out genres like neo-soul and pianos.

Some of the artists he has enjoyed working with included MAK11, SUZAKU THE ROCKSTAR, TUKZBEATS, NTL, HBEATS, KP28, and his dream collaborations range with Southside, Metro Boomin, Kanye West, and Boi1da for production and in terms of artists, Nas, Gucci Mane, Wiz Kid, and Meek Mill and Pusha T are the leading contenders for his ascension to the international market.

Sausse Boy Records was conceptualized in 2015 as an idea which only came to pass in 2019 as a registered, copyrighted record label. The name Sausse is derivative of sauce (slang for drip/style), and the transition from Sauce to Sausse was specifically for copyright purposes. As the CEO of the Record Label, Kami handles everything from production, events, content, songwriting, arrangement, and engineering.

Though the road towards steering the balance of business and creativity is no walk in the park, Kami is one individual who loves to rise to the challenge and strikes a delicate balance between the two worlds. He finds that when he has a healthy schedule that optimizes his workflow, it is easier to establish mutual benefits in the respective aspects that embody his business portfolio. Adequate planning infused relentless energy carries our renaissance man seamlessly through an otherwise turbulent workflow.

As it stands, no one has been signed to Sausse Boy Records; however, there what Kami is looking for is more producers than artists. This is to build a sonic image of the record label before finding the artists who will be doing their part in carrying on the tradition of independent label success. The Sausse Boy CEO believes in both independent and Major Record label structures, the pitfalls of the independent path is in how long your artistic and business growth takes as opposed to a major machine that funds your marketing, production, tour support, media access, and events,

When you do establish a network as an independent artist, streaming platforms such as Soundcloud, apple, Spotify, Deezer, Tidal and the likes do have a variety of income streams that can reward you without the hassle of multiple middlemen that you would find in the archaic major label structure, so while you may work twice as hard, your rewards pay off twice as much.

Soundcloud has the advantage of accessibility from Kami’s perspective compared to other Digital streaming platforms and is by far the best means for exposure and a wider reach and, if done right, monetization. When asked who made him come to such conclusions, Kami mentioned Lil Pump, Luca$raps, Blxckie, and XXXTENTACION in terms of who made him realize how much Soundcloud can be of substantial benefit to an artist/producer.

Receiving royalties from the digital platforms where you can access KamixxBleach is a pending income that has already been planned for. From investing in an album, more singles, and venturing into Property by owning estates and providing for his family, Mr Dlamini has his eyes set on securing the future and giving back to the people that matter most, his family, friends, and most importantly, the Sausse Boy Records Fans.
