Being The Exception To The Rule.

The 4th industrial revolution predicates its rise on the premise of multi-layered growth. From a technological perspective, constant system updates, features, and other elements that make abstract minimalism have a hint of God, challenging the criteria of excellence.

Socially, we are transitioning beyond the cusp of one of the most exciting times in human history, with Gen-Z and Millennials going beyond the call of duty to redefine the workspace. Our integration into a global digital space has opened multiple doors of opportunity, driving us to add a host of Asterisks to our names, drawing a map of the talents and value we possess.

On Set.

Enter: Mandisa Yolanda Ndlazi, born on the 11th of July 2000 as a landmark for the Ndlazi family to shift from generational curses to prosperity. Hailing from Panorama Gardens, the Russel High School Alumni who graduated at the top of her class went against the grain and pursued a qualification in performing arts from the Creative Arts College in Pietermaritzburg.

Affectionately known by friends, family, and industry peers as Mandy, Mandisa Ndlazi carries on the tradition of the triple threat in the creative industry. She is an Actress, Vocalist, and Presenter with a hidden talent that will reveal itself when the perfect opportunity presents itself in the not-so-distant future. She chose the performance arts industry as her creative work has been a passion and God-given talent since her formative years.

She has starred in concept Music Videos such as Eduze and Running by Acquostic Assassins. On the silver screen, she has worked in productions such as Rhythm City (Background actress), Imbewu (Background actress), Lunga’s Lounge (Lead Actress), Daisy’s interlude (Supporting actress), Redemption (Lead Actress), Osenhlizweni (Lead Actress), Notice (Lead Actress), When Nature Decides (Lead Actress), and most recently Indlalifa (Lead Actress).

As a singer, she has worked hand in hand with the Pietermaritzburg Arts Kollective production Blue Butterfly, where she participated in musical performances in 2019 and 2020. In the same period, she built her Television portfolio by broadcasting for Roses in Ribbons event in Durban Kwazulu-Natal.

Mandisa is no stranger to adversity. With her academic capabilities, she was advised by naysayers who are opposed to a creative industry career to pursue career prospects that assert job security. This advice was predicated on Pietermaritzburg’s harsh reality being overlooked as a credible source for talent that can garner national attention and bankability. The industry standard placed cities such as Durban, Cape Town, or Johannesburg in favor of advancing one’s career.

As far as writing love letters to success goes, Mandisa is giving more than her 2 cents in writing the youth’s chapter in the story of the 4th industrial revolution. She is amongst a legion of individuals who dare to challenge the idiom jack of all trades and master of none. She is no longer settling for a central source of income; instead, she integrates herself into a space where multiple revenue streams are a norm beyond a preference reserved for the upper class.

With an extensive foundation, ambitions, the willpower, and drive to establish a formidable net-worth to her brand, Mandisa Yolanda Ndlazi is getting her foot through the door 10 000 hours at a time, with a stern belief that she is not juggling too much on her plate.
